European Elections
Dear members, Dear friends,
The European elections will be taking place from the 4th to the 7th of June 2009. A common misconception suggests that the members of the European Parliament have few prerogatives and de facto do not dispose of actual political influence. This is fundamentally wrong. Let us take a few examples: the EU's budget, the European stimulus package and Basel II to name a few examples. The Parliament was strongly involved in all these decisions that have a practical effect on businesses.
Thus, CEA-PME calls upon all of its members to take part in the European elections. Use your voice in order to make the difference and to support the voices of members of Parliament that are pro-business and pro-SMEs.
